Rumskulla is remote, and that is exactly why you come. Travel is your own to arrange — here is everything in one place so you don't have to work it out: which flight, which rental car, which road.
Linköping City Airport
Ninety-six kilometres from Vimmerby, about an hour and a half by car. KLM flies to Amsterdam Schiphol every day of the week, twice a day in each direction, and four rental companies have a desk in the terminal. Coming from Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany, this is the shortest way to our meeting and service point.
Watch the direction of that route. The flights that land here arrive in the late afternoon and late in the evening; the morning flight leaves Linköping. Fly in on Thursday and you reach our meeting and service point in the early evening, with the first ride already ridden. Come on Wednesday and you are at the start on Thursday, rested.
The afternoon flight puts you at our meeting and service point well before dinner. The evening flight lands around eleven, so you drive to Rumskulla in the dark.
The afternoon flight lets you sleep in after the closing night. The morning flight leaves around six, which means a five o'clock start.
We deliberately do not list times here: KLM changes its timetable twice a year and the times differ per day of the week. Check your flight with KLM before you book — the times there are always current.
The desk is in the terminal
Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt all have a desk at the airport. You collect the key at the service centre beside arrivals and drop it in the box in the terminal when you leave. No shuttle, no queue in another building.
Take one van instead of two cars. A Mercedes Vito or V-Class swallows the group and the bike cases in one go, and you split the cost four or five ways. Do book ahead: this is a small airport with a small fleet, and an eight-seater is not a standard car there.
Or simply drive
From Belgium and the Netherlands the road runs through Denmark and over the Öresund bridge into Småland. Count on a long day behind the wheel or a night on the way. Once here you need the car anyway: rides start at our meeting and service point in Mariannelund and your bed is nearby, not next door.

From Brussels Zaventem there are direct flights to Stockholm Arlanda and to Gothenburg; from Charleroi only to Arlanda. Eindhoven has no direct flight to Sweden at all.

Vimmerby has a station. If you arrive without a car, say so when you book: we collect you at Vimmerby station. We don't do airport runs — it is an hour and a half away, and on Thursday morning the service van is being made ready for the first ride.
